Help Kids Attend Graduation This Year, Break The Cycle! 

The Cinderella Project is a 100% volunteer-based charity founded in Vancouver in 1999.

Did you know that 20% of all children in Canada live below the poverty line? Many are unable to or choose not to complete high school as they are unable to share in the graduation celebrations with their fellow students. Our concept is simple; afford these kids the opportunity to attend graduation ceremonies and galas with their peers through the donation of formal wear and other accessories that would help them attend in confidence.

Each Spring, the Cinderella Project holds a 'Boutique Day' where these near-grads can attend to select their graduation outfits and also to celebrate their achievements. Gowns and tuxedos are chosen along with purses, shoes and other accessories. Volunteers also handle hair and makeup, and gift bags full of other essential items are handed out. Boutique Day is not seen as a handout to these students, it is a way of celebrating their successes and ensuring they can move forward with new found assurances.

Students who receive these gifts include chronically ill or disabled kids and kids from low income families who cannot otherwise afford to purchase these on their own.
